We recently we collabed with LashesByAntaa. LashesByAntaa as you can tell by the brand name, is a mink lash company that offers lashes in a variety of styles, lengths and prices.
After the collab, we then had the amazing opportunity to try out some of their amazing lashes that they offer. The packaging is very chic, and the lashes are top quality where you can get multiple wears out of them. The variety of styles and lengths is amazing as you are spoilt for choice
The back story and the reasons why this brand came about is interesting. Take a read of the interview below and learn and get a better understanding behind the brand and why she started it.
Why did you start your brand?
I started this brand because I was scrolling through Instagram, looking for nice lashes to buy, but they were all quite pricey (e.g £7-£13.99+ for a pair of 18mm lashes that didn’t look too great). As a student in second year of university, it frustrated me. And I knew people who felt the same way too. So, I decided to start my own lash business that sells super affordable lashes (£4.00-£10).. This way, it would cater to the needs of people who are unable afford pricey lashes, and also serve as another form of income for me. So, it was a win-win situation!
How long have you been running your brand?
My brand is 6 months old, I launched LashesByAntaa in July (2019)
What are your goals/visions for LashesByAntaa?
I have a few goals, but here are a few - to continue providing good quality products as well as good customer service, And - to develop the LashesByAntaa brand.
What do you love about being a business owner?
There are so many things I love about being a business owner. The first being the amount of independence it gives me. I can have my own work/life balance that’s not at the expense of anyone else, so that’s amazing.
The second thing I love about being a business owner is that I’m able to do something I’ve always wanted to do, which is to build a brand that is all mine. Juggling university, 2 jobs, hobbies and a business on the side is not easy, so I take pride in the fact that I'm working hard, putting in the time and effort, and in turn, reaping the rewards.
How do you go about choosing and naming your different lashes?
In terms of naming my lashes, it didn’t take that much time. I made a list of 20 or so names and I picked the ones that I liked the most! I didn’t want to spend too much time on the names. What mattered to me the most was the look/quality of the lashes.
How long did it take you from conception to launch?
All in all, it took about a month from conception to the actual launch. I wanted to give myself enough time to find the products I liked/envisioned. But to also set myself somewhat of a deadline because it was summer, I thought it would be the best time to launch. Setting a deadline motivated me to work harder and smarter.
What has been the highs and lows so far?
The highs have been reaching my weekly sales targets, receiving good feedback and enjoying what I do. The lows so far have been dealing with the amount of orders when I first started. It was way more than I had expected, and I didn’t really factor the amount of time it took to package, label, mail lashes as well as update my inventory into my daily timetable. I soon found a way to deal with it though, dealing with orders has been easier since then!
Will you be releasing new products/lashes?
I hope to release more lash styles and perhaps add different products. I think it would be quite exciting.
What do your customers have to say about your lashes?
The feedback I get from my customers is amazing. I was quite overwhelmed when I saw my first few reviews, they were so positive. They love the lashes and the price especially! (I will include some reviews as attachments).
